If you have information about a violent crime and want to speak confidentially with a lawyer, call 1-888-448-6667 Monday to Friday between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The Witness Advice Program is a free, legal information hotline for Greater Toronto-area residents who have witnessed, or have information about, a violent crime. It provides a safe space to discuss vital matters of personal and community security and has absolutely no connection to the police. 

People can call the anonymous phone line to get answers to important legal questions and learn how the justice system handles incidents of violent crime. Callers learn about their options in order to make informed decisions. 

An operator connects callers with a volunteer lawyer through a call centre. The lawyer never asks for the caller's name or any other identifying information. In fact, callers are encouraged to block their identity using the *67 telephone feature.
